Self Drive Boats

We offer a range of self-drive boats suited to couples, families and small groups. Engine sizes on licence-free models let you captain the boat yourself after a full safety briefing from our staff. Larger speedboats require a valid speedboat driving licence.

Rent for a half day or a full day depending on how far you want to travel along the coast. Fuel, lifejackets and statutory safety equipment are checked with you at handover. Snorkelling gear is available on selected boats.

Self-drive boats must stay within the boundaries shown on your map: generally within 500 metres of the Zakynthos coast and never in another country’s waters. This keeps you in sheltered, familiar territory while still reaching beautiful swimming spots, caves and beaches away from the crowds.

Popular routes include the northeast coast, bays near Agios Nikolaos and quieter coves on the east side. Our team advises on daily conditions and the best direction to head based on wind and sea state.

Minimum rental period is normally one day; shorter arrangements may be possible depending on season and availability. A 50% deposit confirms your booking; the balance is due before collection. Free cancellation up to 24 hours before rental starts.

Full tuition is given at collection. Captains must be 18 or older and able to swim. Anyone without a speedboat licence may not operate licensed speedboat models. Third-party insurance is included; see our Boat Rentals terms for full cover limits and emergency numbers.
