Is turtle spotting guaranteed on this cruise?

While we cannot guarantee wildlife sightings, Zakynthos is home to the largest Caretta caretta nesting population in the Mediterranean, and our experienced captains know exactly where to look. Sightings are very common during the season.

How much time do you get on Marathonisi beach?

You spend approximately 45–60 minutes on Marathonisi (Turtle Island), a protected sandy beach and nesting ground. Swimming is permitted and the turquoise water is exceptionally clear.

Can you swim inside the Keri Caves?

Yes, the Keri Caves are a highlight of the cruise and the calm, sheltered waters inside are perfect for swimming and snorkelling. The sea arch and rock formations create a dramatic natural pool.

What species of sea turtle will I see?

Zakynthos hosts the Loggerhead sea turtle, known by its scientific name Caretta caretta. Adults can weigh up to 180 kg and are completely wild; they are often spotted feeding or surfacing for air near the boat.

Is this cruise suitable for children and families?
